The Hong Kong Tourism Development Bureau announced on the 16th that the preliminary number of tourist arrivals in early June was 3.13 million, a 14% increase from the same period last year. From January to June this year, there were about 21 million visitor arrivals, a year-on-year increase of 64%, with an average daily volume of 0.116 million. The data shows that in June this year, there were approximately 2.34 million visitors from Mainland China, an increase of about 8.6% compared to the same period last year, and approximately 0.79 million visitors from other countries/regions, an increase of about 33.6% YoY. In the first half of this year, there were about 16.15 million visitor arrivals from Mainland China, an increase of about 60% YoY, while the number of visitor arrivals from other countries/regions was about 5 million, an increase of about 80% YoY. Among all visitor arrivals, 50% were overnight visitors, staying an average of 3.2 nights.
