On the afternoon of the 12th, the Civil Aviation Administration of China held a press conference, and the person in charge stated that in the first half of the year, the entire civil aviation industry completed a total turnover of 70.3 billion ton-kilometers of transportation, a year-on-year increase of 32.2%, an increase of 11.9% compared to the same period in 2019. Among them, domestic routes completed 47.04 billion ton-kilometers, a year-on-year increase of 16%, an increase of 16.5% compared to the same period in 2019; international routes completed 23.26 billion ton-kilometers, a year-on-year increase of 84.1%, an increase of 3.7% compared to the same period in 2019. The scale of domestic and international air transportation markets exceeded that of the same period in 2019. In the first half of the year, the entire industry completed a passenger transportation volume of 0.35 billion person-times, a year-on-year increase of 23.5%, an increase of 9% compared to the same period in 2019. Among them, domestic routes completed 0.32 billion person-times, a year-on-year increase of 16.4%, an increase of 12.4% compared to the same period in 2019; international routes completed 29.673 million person-times, a year-on-year increase of 254.4%, and passenger transportation scale has restored to 81.7% of the same period in 2019. The international air passenger transportation market continued its rapid recovery trend, and the recovery level has exceeded 80% for five consecutive months since February 2024.
