The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers stated in a document that in June, the European Commission disclosed information on the anti-subsidy investigation of Chinese electric vehicles, disregarding the facts and insisting that the Chinese electric vehicle industry had high "subsidies", which has harmed the EU's electric vehicle industry and intends to impose temporary anti-subsidy taxes on electric vehicles exported from China. The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers is deeply regretful and firmly opposes this. The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers hopes that the European Commission will not regard the current phase of trade in complete vehicles as a long-term threat, and more importantly, not politicize economic and trade issues or abuse trade remedy measures to avoid damage and distortion to the global automotive industry chain and supply chain including the EU, and to uphold a fair, non-discriminatory, and predictable market environment. We hope that the European automotive industry will think rationally and take positive action to maintain the current situation of mutual competition and mutual benefit, and jointly promote the healthy and sustainable development of the global automotive industry.
