According to Bitcoin Magazine, the German government has transferred another portion of its large bitcoin reserves to exchanges. Based on blockchain data, the German Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) transferred approximately $75 million worth of bitcoin in multiple transactions on July 4. These funds are distributed among exchanges including Coinbase, Kraken, and Bitstamp. Since mid-June, the German government has transferred about $0.315 billion worth of bitcoin to various platforms. It sold over $0.39 billion worth of bitcoin in less than a month. In 2013, BKA confiscated nearly 0.05 million bitcoin related to the operator of the movie piracy website Movie2K. Those assets are now estimated to be worth $2.3 billion at current prices.
