Huaneng Lancang River Hydropower Inc. announced that as of June 30, 2024, the company's generating capacity in the first half of the year was 46.695 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 12.15%, and the on-grid electricity was 46.272 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 12.36%. The main reasons for the year-on-year increase in generating capacity in the first half of 2024 are: first, the increase in the scale of new energy installations, plus the favorable situation of wind and photovoltaic power generation, leading to a sharp increase in the new energy power generation; second, the inflow in the Lancang River basin in the first half of the year was about 30% more than the same period last year, and the inflow at the Wunonglong, Xiaowan, and Nuozhadu sections increased by 30%, 31%, and 29% respectively; third, the company actively coordinated with the power grid to speed up the decline in water levels before the flood season, leading to a year-on-year increase in hydropower generation.
