The 8th China International Import Expo was launched at a ceremony held on the 3rd in Nanning, Guangxi. 26 companies signed up on the spot to become the first group of exhibitors for the 8th Import Expo in 2025, with a contracted exhibition area of 15,000 square meters. Companies such as L'Oreal, Volvo Autos, Mitsubishi Electric Corp. unsponsored ADR, 3m, HSBC Banks, and Louis Dreyfus became the first 'eight-year full attendance students' of the Import Expo. Tang Wenhong, Assistant Minister of Commerce of China, said in his speech that starting the recruitment for the 8th Import Expo in 2025 more than a year in advance and signing up more than 20 companies in the first batch was a practical action for the Import Expo to focus on long-term development and strive for continuous improvement, as well as an embodiment of overseas companies' long-term support for the Import Expo.
