The H100 is an AI chip developed by Nvidia specifically for processing large language models (LLMs) data. The estimated price for each Nvidia H100 AI chip is around $30,000 to $40,000, with possible discounts for bulk purchases. Based on a simple calculation, training Grok 3 alone used AI chips worth 3 billion to 4 billion US dollars. It is currently uncertain whether these chips were directly purchased by Musk's company.
