Regarding the incident of Japanese Kobayashi Pharmaceutical's health products containing red mold causing harm to consumers' health, the Japanese Nephrology Society released an analytical report on June 30 that investigated some affected consumers. Among 105 patients whose renal function was damaged due to taking the health product, more than 80% of them have not recovered their renal function after treatment. On July 1st, Japanese Kobayashi Pharmaceutical stated that a survey plan has been submitted to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare in response to the health issues caused by the health products containing red mold. The plan involves 76 newly discovered cases suspected of causing death due to taking the related health products. The specific content of the investigation plan has not been disclosed yet.
