On the afternoon of July 1st, Gaode Map recently launched a restaurant queueing function, benchmarking Dianping in the on-site business. According to the news released by Alibaba's official account, open the Gaode Map App, search for the restaurant you want to go to, and enter the details page to view the current queueing status. When the restaurant needs to queue, enter the departure time, mode of transportation, and number of companions. Gaode Map will calculate the arrival time through ETA (estimated time of arrival) service and give suggestions based on the queueing situation. When the travel time is less than the merchant's queueing time, Gaode will remind you to take a number in advance to shorten the waiting time after arriving at the restaurant. When the travel time is greater than the merchant's queueing time, in order to avoid re-queueing, Gaode will automatically take a number on the way, and users can order dishes when they arrive at the restaurant. It is reported that in addition to dining queues, Gaode will also further open up the possibility of queuing functions and develop more usage scenarios in industries and service areas, such as parking, refueling, picking up meals, and sightseeing.
