On June 28, the Industry Development Promotion Conference of Future Space Deep and Ultra-deep Oil and Gas Exploration and Development Field and the Innovation Consortium Establishment Conference, hosted by PetroChina under the guidance of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, were held in Beijing. The Innovative Consortium in the deep and ultra-deep oil and gas exploration and development field was officially established. The consortium was jointly established by nine central enterprises, including PetroChina, Sinopec, China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, China Electronics Technology Group Corporation, China National Machinery Industry Corporation, Dongfang Electric Corporation, China Baowu Steel Group, China Minmetals Corporation and China National Machinery Industry Corporation, under the guidance of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. It is focused on the exploration and development of ultra-deep conventional oil and gas, deep shale oil and gas, and deep coalbed methane, and opening up a new area of major strategic succession of onshore deep and ultra-deep oil and gas.
