At around 22:18 local time on June 28, a police officer in upstate New York shot and killed a 13-year-old Asian youth armed with an imitation pistol. New York State Police Chief Mark Williams said that police stopped two teenagers at the time of the incident. One of the teenagers tried to escape and pointed an imitation pistol at the police. A police officer opened fire on the teenager during a “fight”, causing the teenager to die of his injuries after being taken to the hospital. According to reports, the police found an imitation pistol with a detachable magazine at the scene.
