hkex has suggested to consult the market on lowering the minimum price fluctuation of stocks in Hong Kong's stock market. hkex suggests to lower the minimum price fluctuation of stocks in certain price ranges to reduce overall trading costs and increase liquidity; and proposes to implement it in two stages, with the minimum price fluctuation of stocks priced between HKD 0.5 and 50 lowered by 50% to 60%; the consultation period will end on September 20, 2024.
