On June 26th, CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd. and Qingdao Metro Group jointly unveiled the carbon fiber subway train 'CETROVO 1.0 Carbon Star Express' designed for the Qingdao Subway Line 1. This is the world's first carbon fiber subway train for commercial operation, with a weight reduction of 11% compared to traditional vehicles, and significant advantages of being lighter and more energy-efficient, leading the subway train to achieve a brand new green upgrade. Weihai Guangwei Composites provided the materials such as carbon fiber and fabric, pre-impregnated materials, etc. to support lightweighting of the train. Currently, the carbon fiber subway train has completed the factory type test. According to the plan, it will be put into demonstration operation on Qingdao Subway Line 1 within the year.
