The National Energy Administration held the first meeting of the leadership group for promoting the construction of the new electrical utilities system. The meeting pointed out that we should focus on the key areas of the new electrical utilities system that urgently need to make breakthroughs and achieve practical results as soon as possible. In terms of clean and low-carbon, we should focus on increasing the proportion of green electricity and transforming low-carbon coal electricity. In terms of safety and adequacy, we should focus on enhancing the stability foundation of the system and ensuring the supply. In terms of economic efficiency, we should focus on optimizing the planning, construction, and operation management of electricity. In terms of supply-demand coordination, we should focus on mobilizing demand-side resources and various types of operating entities. In terms of flexible intelligence, we should focus on improving the flexible regulation capacity of the system and the intelligent operation level. At the same time, we should vigorously promote technological innovation and institutional reform, and provide technical support and institutional guarantee for the construction of the new electrical utilities system. The meeting requires that all member units of the leading group for promoting the construction of the new electrical utilities system should strengthen coordination and form a joint force, arrange tasks around the special action plan of accelerating the construction of the new electrical utilities system, further consolidate responsibilities, refine measures, and ensure that all tasks are solidly implemented.
