The 2024 MWC Shanghai opened today, and ZTE's executive director and president, Xu Ziyang, gave a speech. He stated that AI development faces four challenges: diverse bottlenecks still exist regarding computing power supply, errors still exist in some serious scenarios where AI is applied, and there is still insufficient focus on training and inadequate reasoning. Furthermore, there are still significant challenges in implementing closed business loops. He believes that an open AI ecosystem needs to be built, including: drivers, operators, internet-related manufacturers; builders, chip providers, model providers, etc.; and consumers and businesses with specific use needs. A collaborative effort from all parties is required.
