Nissan Motor's global headquarters recently announced the closure of its Changzhou plant in China, which has an annual production capacity of about 130,000 units and accounts for around 10% of Nissan's total production in China. The production at the plant will be transferred to other plants of Dongfeng Nissan, the company's joint venture in China. As of press time, Nissan China has not responded to reporters' inquiries. Dongfeng Nissan, Nissan's joint venture in China, said that based on global strategy and changes in the business environment, it is optimizing and adjusting its internal capacity and resources to better adapt to corporate transformation and development. While ensuring the production capacity for existing rbob gasoline vehicles, Dongfeng Nissan will increase its layout and investment in electric vehicles production line to better meet user demand.
