On the morning of June 20th, the Shanghai Municipal Government Information Office held a press conference to introduce the progress of the preparations for the 2024 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and the Global Governance High-Level Conference on Artificial Intelligence, and answered questions from reporters. It was learned from the press conference that Shanghai is seizing the opportunities for the development of the new generation of artificial intelligence, using artificial intelligence to drive new productive forces, and accelerating the construction of a world-class high-end industrial cluster. At present, all the key tasks of the first round of the artificial intelligence "Shanghai Program" have been fulfilled, and a complete industrial chain layout has been formed from software models to intelligent terminals, from basic research to innovative applications. The exhibition area of the conference exceeds 52,000 square meters, focusing on three major sectors of core technology, intelligent terminals, and application empowerment. It will concentrate on showcasing the latest achievements of "artificial intelligence +" innovative applications, focusing on key areas such as large-scale models, computing power, robots, and autonomous driving, and unveil a batch of innovative products that are highly anticipated. Over 500 companies, including Tesla, Microsoft, and Schneider, have already confirmed their participation, with non-local and international companies accounting for over 50% and the number of exhibits exceeding 1,500.
