Recently, automobile manufacturers have successively released sales data for May. Using the monthly sales data announcements of major automobile manufacturers listed on A-shares and H-shares, researchers from Xinhua Finance and Bread Finance respectively compiled statistics on the sales volume of complete vehicles and new energy vehicles. According to incomplete statistics, 23 automobile manufacturers listed on A-shares and H-shares disclosed their monthly sales data for May. In May 2024, the 23 companies sold a total of 1,683,400 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 1.53%. Among them, SAIC Motor Corporation, BYD Company Limited, and Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd. ranked the top three in terms of sales volume. In terms of growth rate, the sales volume of Yaxing Motor Coach Co., Ltd., NIO Inc., and Chongqing Sokon Industry Group Stock Co., Ltd. increased by more than 100% year-on-year and were relatively at the forefront. Among them, about 16 companies released sales data of new energy vehicles (including passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles). In May 2024, these companies sold a total of approximately 729,100 new energy vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 33.97%. BYD Company Limited and SAIC Motor Corporation sold more than 80,000 new energy vehicles in May. Most companies achieved positive year-on-year growth in sales volume, with Chongqing Sokon Industry Group Stock Co., Ltd. NIO Inc. and Geely Auto ranking at the forefront in terms of growth rate.
