Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun will face tough questioning from US senators on Tuesday regarding the company's safety culture and allegations from a new whistleblower. He will attend the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations hearing at 2pm Eastern Time.
A quality assurance investigator at Boeing's 737 factory in Renton, Washington, said there were obvious quality concerns with Boeing components, and the company mishandled defective or unresolved critical aircraft components, some of which may have been installed on new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. This comes as Boeing CEO David Calhoun is set to testify in Washington, D.C. about Boeing's "broken safety culture."
