China State Construction Engineering Corporation announced that the total amount of newly signed contracts from January to May 2024 was 1.8106 trillion yuan, a YoY increase of 12%. Among them, the newly signed contract amount for construction business was 1.6747 trillion yuan, an increase of 17.5%. The newly signed contract amount for housing construction business was 1.1579 trillion yuan, and the newly signed contract amount for infrastructure business was 511.1 billion yuan, a YoY increase of 10.6% and 37.4%, respectively. The newly signed domestic contract amount was 1.5771 trillion yuan, a YoY increase of 13.8%, while the overseas contract amount was 97.6 billion yuan, a YoY increase of 145.2%. In terms of real estate business, the contract sales amounted to 135.9 billion yuan, down by 28.9%, and the contracted sales area was 4.86 million square meters, down by 39.3%. The end-of-period land reserve was 84.94 million square meters, and the newly purchased land reserve was 2.91 million square meters.
