The Xiaomi Robotics company held a relocation ceremony on June 4th at Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone (Beijing Yizhuang), where the Xiaomi's second-generation bio-inspired quadruped robot, CyberDog 2, performed an impromptu dance on site. Xiaomi Group is the first in China to invest in the development of bio-inspired robots and is at the forefront of the field, having built a research and development system of several hundred people, with capabilities covering various dimensions from components to hardware and software systems, operation control and sensing. Currently, Xiaomi Robotics is advancing the phased landing of humanoid robots in its own manufacturing system. In the short term, Xiaomi Robotics is a special intelligent robot that is applied in certain scenarios of intelligent manufacturing and will expand to more scenarios in the future. Next, Xiaomi Robotics will continue to promote product innovation, drive the collaborative development of industrial chain enterprises through whole-machine traction, empower the industrial ecology through open-source and open platform and complete tool chains, and expand its application scenarios, achieving integrated development with the automotive, machinery, electronics, and artificial intelligence industries. It is planning to develop and manufacture the first general-purpose humanoid robot integrated machine product and establish it as a demonstration project for R&D, manufacturing, and application of the product in Beijing.
