Before the Dragon Boat Festival, the General Administration of Market Supervision organized a special inspection on zongzi food safety in 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government) across the country. The inspection results showed that the overall quality and safety of zongzi products were good. A total of 450 batches of zongzi and raw materials glutinous rice were inspected in this special inspection, focusing on various business and sales links such as supermarkets, pastry shops, small grocery stores, wholesale markets, farmers' markets, restaurants and online platforms. The inspected zongzi products involved nearly 100 brands and 215 production companies including Wufangzhai, Sanquan, Sinian, Peking Daoxiangcun, Likoufu, and Zhiweiguan. Through laboratory testing, no unqualified samples were found.
