According to Ehang Intelligence, the world's leading urban air traffic technology company, Ehang Intelligence announced that it has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Taiyuan Xishan Ecological Cultural Tourism Investment and Construction Co., Ltd. (“Xishan Cultural Tourism” for short) to jointly develop a low-altitude economy in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province. At the same time as signing the MOU, Nishiyama Cultural Tourism ordered 50 EH216-S driverless electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL) and has already paid a total contract price of 113 million yuan (about 15.6 million US dollars) to Ehang Intelligence. At the same time, Nishiyama Cultural Tourism signed an intended procurement agreement to purchase an additional 450 EH216-S within the next 2 years. In the future, they will be used in low-altitude scenarios such as tourism and manned traffic to jointly promote the application and operation of driverless eVTOLs in North China.
