Recently, the US hype about the so-called “overcapacity” of China's new energy industry impacting the international market. Some countries, such as the US, use “overcapacity” as an excuse to limit exports and investment cooperation of Chinese products. This practice has drawn criticism from people of insight in the international community. Tomoo Marukawa, a professor at the Institute of Social Science at the University of Tokyo in Japan, believes that hyping up “overcapacity” of Chinese products is another sign of America's suppression of other countries in order to implement trade protectionism and protect its own interests.
