In recent years, road running events, starting with marathons, have been loved by the masses, and have also received support from many places and widespread public attention. However, with the rapid resumption of competitions, while meeting people's fitness needs, boosting economic growth, and promoting urban development, some events also experienced problems such as chaotic competition organization, irregular commercial competition, and disorderly management of specially invited contestants, which attracted widespread public attention. In order to strengthen the management of road running events and promote the high-quality development of road running, the China Athletics Association has made targeted additions and revisions to the original “Road Running Race Management Measures”, regulating the market-based competition order for events, and the invitation, participation and management of athletes. Compared with the original method, this revision makes it clear that acts that violate sportsmanship and competition rules must not occur during the athlete invitation process. It initially defines the identity and categories of invited athletes, clarifies the registration, participation, registration, and division starting matters of the invited athletes. Subsequent optimization and adjustments will also be made in due course according to actual implementation.
