In April, the value added of the mining industry increased by 2.0% year on year, the manufacturing industry grew by 7.5%, and the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas and water increased by 5.8%. By economic type, in April, the value added of state-owned enterprises increased 5.4% year on year; joint-stock enterprises increased 6.9%; foreign-invested enterprises, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan increased 6.2%; and private enterprises increased 6.3%. By product, production of 386 out of 619 products increased year-on-year in April. Among them, there were 116.52 million tons of steel, down 1.6% year on year; 173.95 million tons of cement, down 8.6%; 6.5 million tons of ethylene, up 7.0%; 2.49 million tons of ethylene, down 7.2%; 2,346 million vehicles, up 15.4%, of which 831,000 new energy vehicles, up 39.2%; power generation capacity 690.1 billion kilowatt-hours, up 3.1%; crude oil processing volume 58.79 million tons, down 3.3%. In April, the product sales rate of industrial enterprises above scale was 97.4%, down 0.1 percentage points from the previous year; industrial enterprises above scale achieved export delivery value of 1232.8 billion yuan, a nominal increase of 7.3% over the previous year.
