The 13th WGDC2024 Global Geographic Information Developers Conference was held in Beijing on 15-16. Li Deren, an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said at the forum that currently satellite information applications are stuck in a “big business, small industry” situation, making it difficult to achieve marketization and internationalization. Meanwhile, PNT, centered on Beidou, is a new type of productivity. Efforts should be made to promote Beidou+ and Beidou, achieve ubiquitous PNT services, quickly promote zero-to-one innovation from PNT to PNTRC, achieve real-time intelligent and popularized space information services that integrate communication and remote control, and create multiple trillion-level aerospace information industries. From the Luojia series of satellites to the Oriental Eye Constellation, we will build a software-defined global real-time monitoring network for space information in China to serve the sustainable development of our country and the world.
