On May 13, the “ESG Action Report of Foreign Enterprises in China” was officially released by China Central Radio and Television's Financial Program Center. The “ESG Action Report for Foreign Companies in China” selected the “ESG Pioneer 20” companies through a systematic evaluation of the ESG performance of foreign investors, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan companies in China, and released them at the event. Twenty companies including China's Samsung, China Panasonic, Hyundai Motor Group (China), Delta, SK China, China's Pohang, Apple, Hon Hai, Guangzhou Automobile Honda, and China's LG were selected. At the same time, the “Report” puts forward four suggestions on how foreign companies in China can further improve their ESG work standards. First, strengthen the implementation of China's localization strategy and further develop ESG practices with Chinese characteristics; second, strengthen exchanges and cooperation with local Chinese enterprises to build a cooperative and win-win ESG ecosystem; third, improve the efficiency of ESG management in China and build and improve the top-level design of ESG governance; fourth, increase the ESG information disclosure rate in China and actively disclose compliance information to local stakeholders.
