On the occasion of the 29th World Book Day, Reading Text Group released the “Gen Z Digital Reading Report” (hereinafter referred to as the “Report”). The “Report” points out that Gen Z has become the backbone of digital reading. Taking Reading Group as an example, Gen Z accounted for 43% of the new users of Reading Text in 2023, reading an average of 28 works per year, and an average reading time of 83 minutes per day. The “Report” also points out that online literature drives a new trend in digital reading and pushes digital reading towards global reading. As of 2023, the overseas portal WebNovel (WebNovel), a subsidiary of Reading Wen, has launched a total of about 3,800 translated works of Chinese online articles, an increase of 31% over the previous year, attracting more than 230 million overseas visitors, an increase of 35% over the previous year.
