The Shanghai Economic and Information Technology Commission recently issued the “Implementation Plan on Promoting Digital Intelligence in Industrial Enterprises in the City”. The “Plan” proposes that by May 2024, more than 1,000 industrial enterprises in the city will be promoted to intelligent digital transformation; by the end of 2024, efforts will be made to promote the intelligent transformation of 9,500 regulated enterprises, 1,000 sample enterprises, and about 40,000 industrial enterprises under regulations in the city to improve the digital intelligence development level of the industry. The main tasks include organizing consumer internet platforms to empower industrial enterprises, industrial e-commerce platforms to empower industrial enterprises, promoting “small, quick and easy” digital product applications, and using digital means to efficiently match upstream and downstream supply and demand connections in the industrial chain.
