According to the central bank's website, on April 16, 2024, the China-US Financial Working Group held its fourth meeting in Washington, D.C. The meeting was co-chaired by Xuan Changneng, Deputy Governor of the People's Bank of China, and Naiman, Assistant Treasury Secretary of the US Treasury. The China Financial Supervisory Authority, the China Securities Regulatory Commission, and departments such as the Federal Reserve, the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation attended the conference. US Treasury Secretary Yellen met with the Chinese delegation from the China-US Financial Working Group. The two sides had professional, pragmatic, honest and constructive communication on monetary policy and financial stability, financial regulatory cooperation, financial market institutional arrangements, cross-border payments and data, sustainable finance, anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing, financial infrastructure, and other financial policy issues of concern to both sides. The meeting also heard reports from technical experts from both sides on the financial supervision framework of the two countries. The two sides agreed to continue to maintain communication.
