On April 11, the Guangzhou Development Zone and Huangpu District issued “Certain Measures to Promote High-Quality Development of the Gaming and E-sports Industry in the Guangzhou Development Zone (Huangpu District)” (hereinafter referred to as “10 Rules for the High-Quality Development of Gaming and E-sports”). According to the “10 Rules for the High-Quality Development of Gaming and E-sports”, the district will select no more than 5 demonstration parks based on conditions such as the concentration of the game industry in the park and the size of game companies introduced, give each park operation management agency up to 1 million yuan of support according to 30% of actual operating expenses, and recommend applying for national, provincial, municipal and district cultural industry demonstration parks (bases). According to information, the Guangzhou Development Zone and Huangpu District are the first big data information service platforms for the Chinese game industry in the country and are expected to be put into use this year. The platform uses information technology such as big data, blockchain, and cloud computing to build functions such as game R&D guidance, game publication co-review, game operation monitoring, and game information release.
