Recently, the Hong Kong New Territories West Landfill Expansion Plan project signed by China Construction International Group Co., Ltd. and France's Veolia Group as a consortium has entered into the implementation phase. The project is located in Nim Wan, Tuen Mun, New Territories, Hong Kong. Using the design, construction and operation (DBO) model, it is expected to provide about 76 million cubic meters of landfill capacity and handle about 10,000 tons of solid waste per day. The contract amount for this project is approximately HK$61.1 billion, equivalent to approximately RMB 56.4 billion. The total contract period is 58 years. The project contract amount accounts for about 2.7% of the company's 2022 audited revenue.
