Zhejiang Consumer Insurance Commission interviewed 10 online car-hailing platforms

Breakings ·  Mar 16 17:20
On the occasion of “March 15 International Consumer Rights Day”, the Zhejiang Consumer Rights Protection Commission carried out separate consumer inspections on 10 online car-hailing platforms, including T3 Travel, Cao Cao Chuxing, Didi Chuxing, Hello Travel, Shenzhou Shuttle, Shouqi Car-hailing, Xindao Travel, Sunshine Travel, Gaode Taxi, and Baidu Taxi, focusing on the collection and notification of high-speed and cross-city fees. The investigation found that platforms generally have situations where express toll collection notifications are not significant or sufficient; some drivers charge additional return high-speed fees and air rebates; and charging airport high-speed return fees has become an “unspoken rule” in the industry. In response to the problems discovered during this consumer survey, the Zhejiang Provincial Consumer Insurance Commission interviewed 10 online car-hailing platforms on February 27 and clearly put forward rectification requirements. On March 5, all 10 online car-hailing platforms submitted rectification reports as scheduled. (Zhejiang Consumer Insurance Commission)
