The People's Bank of China and the State Administration of Financial Supervision and Administration recently carried out the 2023 China Systemically Important Bank Assessment and identified 20 domestic systemically important banks, including 6 state-owned commercial banks, 9 joint-stock commercial banks, and 5 urban commercial banks.
