Analysts at J.P. Morgan Chase Bank of the United States estimate that since 2022, the “weakest” banks in the US may have lost a total of about 1 trillion US dollars in deposit amounts; half of these deposit outflows occurred after the Bank of Silicon Valley of the United States was taken over this month. The team of analysts at J.P. Morgan Chase, led by Nicolaus Panigzoglu, did not name which banks were the “weakest” banks, nor did they specify their exact numbers. They wrote in their research report, “The uncertainty generated by deposit transfers may cause banks to be more cautious when lending.”
