The Baltic Sea Dry Bulk Freight Index rose 33 points, or 2.5%, to 1,373 points on Wednesday, the highest level since November 10. The cape freight index rose 95 points, or 6.2%, to 1,635 points, the biggest one-day increase in the past two weeks. The average daily profit of cape ships increased by $787 to $13,561. The Panamanian shipping price index rose 2 points to 1,659 points, rising for the tenth consecutive trading day. The average daily profit of Panamanian ships increased by $23 to $14,935. The freight index for ultra-portable bulk carriers remained unchanged at 1158 points.
