Data from the National Bureau of Statistics show that from January to October, the mining industry achieved a total profit of 1394.3 billion yuan, an increase of 60.4%; the manufacturing industry achieved a total profit of 5173.93 billion yuan, a decrease of 13.4%; and the electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply industries achieved a total profit of 408.59 billion yuan, an increase of 15.5%.
