According to data released today by CNESA, as of the end of September 2022, China had put into operation a total of 50.3 GW of electric power storage projects, an increase of 36% over the previous year. The total installed capacity of new energy storage projects was 6663.4 MW, an increase of 78% over the previous year. Lithium batteries still accounted for the largest share, but the share decreased by 0.4 percentage points compared to the end of last year. In addition, in the first three quarters of 2022, China put into operation a new energy storage project with an installed capacity of 933.8 mW/1911.0 MWh. The power scale increased by 113% over the previous year, and the scale of new energy storage projects planned and under construction was 73.3 GW/177.0 GWh. Although the actual installed scale is not in line with market expectations, the commissioning period for most projects is concentrated in the fourth quarter, especially at the end of the year, and the scale of fashion machines will definitely increase significantly.
