China has established a forest ecological benefit compensation system, increased the management and protection of natural forests and public welfare forests, and allocated more than 30 billion yuan from the central government every year. We will promote the implementation of the third round of subsidies and incentives for grassland ecological protection, with an annual allocation of more than 16 billion yuan from the central government. We will establish a transfer payment system for key ecological functional areas, and allocate more than 80 billion yuan from the central government every year. Actively explore and carry out ecological protection and compensation work in the fields of wetlands, desertified land, rotation and fallow, etc. During the 13th five-year Plan period, the central level allocated nearly 200 billion yuan in annual compensation funds for various types of ecological protection.
