The National Bureau of Statistics: in August, crude oil production was 16.94 million tons, down 0.2% from the same period last year, compared with an increase of 3.0% last month, with an average daily output of 546000 tons. Imported crude oil was 40.35 million tons, down 9.4% from the same period last year, or 0.1% lower than last month. From January to August, crude oil production was 136.94 million tons, an increase of 3.2 percent over the same period last year. Imported crude oil was 330.18 million tons, down 4.7% from the same period last year. The decline in crude oil processing volume has narrowed.
