According to the Federation of passengers, retail sales in the passenger car market from August 8 to 14 were 331000, up 25% from the same period last year, 16% from the previous week and 7% from the same period last month. 323000 passenger cars were wholesale, up 31% from the same period last year, up 16% from the previous week and down 2% from the same period last month. The passenger car market retailed 615000 vehicles from August 1 to 14, up 23 per cent from last year and 5 per cent over the same period last month. National passenger car manufacturers wholesale 602000 vehicles, up 25 per cent from last year and down 2 per cent from the same period last month.
