Breakings ·  Aug 16, 2022 16:26
According to Maersk Group, on August 15, A.P. Muller-Maersk (Maersk) and Hefei Debo Bioenergy Technology Co., Ltd. (Debo) signed a letter of intent to purchase green methanol to ensure the fuel supply of the company's first generation of large green container ships. The signing of this letter of intent is another move after Maersk announced in March this year that it had signed a memorandum of cooperation with CIMC Enrico Holdings Co., Ltd. and Green Technology (Shanghai) Technology Development Co., Ltd. According to the letter of intent, Debo will produce 200000 tons of green methanol per year, and the project is expected to be put into commercial operation in September 2024. The raw material used by Debo is agricultural and forestry waste, and methanol will be prepared by pyrolysis and gasification synthesis technology. Maersk promised to purchase the fuel.
