From January to May, Internet and related service companies in China completed 585 billion yuan in Internet business revenue, an increase of 1.8 percent over the same period last year, down 0.9 percent from January to April, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. From January to May, the operating cost of China's Internet enterprises above scale increased by 5.7% compared with the same period last year, which was 1.3 percentage points lower than that in January-April. The total profit realized was 49.52 billion yuan, down 14.8% from the same period last year, which was 10.6% lower than that in January-April.
