Ma Qiang, Consul General in Edinburgh, visited the bus factory of Alexander Dennis (ADL) in Folkirk, Scotland, on May 24 to inspect the BYD-ADL electric bus project, according to the website of the Chinese Consulate General in Edinburgh. Cameron, director of the factory, and Bailey, production manager of BYD UK, introduced to Consul General Ma the cooperation between ADL and BYD to produce pure electric buses. Cameron said that the cooperation between the two sides is progressing smoothly. So far, more than 1000 electric buses have been produced, with a market share of 50-70% in the UK, and the products have been put into operation in more than 10 cities such as London and Glasgow. ADL is willing to further strengthen cooperation with BYD with complementary advantages and mutual benefit and win-win results.
